Another thing some of you may not know is that I'm an unpublished author (although the post before this one kind of led up to this). I've penned three titles, with a fourth in production. Because I've been seriously slacking in my writing since Annette and I started this site back in June, I've decided to take the plunge back into writing by accepting the challenge.
And because a little competition is good for the soul, I'm challenging anyone who's interested to do the same. I don't care if you're published or not, heck, I don't even care if you've never even thought about writing a book before, I say go for it.
If you complete the challenge, the organization will send you a web badge and a certificate. But I don't think that's enough after slaving away in front of a computer screen, frying your poor brain. As an added incentive, RomFan Reviews is going to give away gift baskets to the first five people who, at the end of November can prove that
- They signed up on the web page
- They actually wrote more than two words
- And if they hit the coveted mark, proof that they did so.
Because I've decided to take the challenge, I'm going to be off the grid for the next month. Annette and Franny will hold down the fort, while I spend every waking moment in front of my computer, pounding out a story.
Yes, I know this doesn't give you much time to whip up a storyline, but I've known about for less than a week, so I'm not much better off. Thank goodness I've got pages and pages of notes from the books I've already written; those will go a long way in helping me throw a story together.
To everyone who decides to be brave (or insane) like me and take the challenge, I say to you, good luck and I'll see you in a month.
