Review: How Sweet It Is by Sophie Gunn

Lizzie Carpenter decided long ago that she didn't want any man interfering in her quiet life with her daughter. She takes care of herself and isn't looking for any help with any part of her life.
One day all that changes though when she wishes for a man that could help her then disappear. Before she knows it, she gets her wish. Tay not only fixes her fence but also other parts of her that she doesn't even know are broken.
But Tay has his own demons to battle. He's trying to make amends from his own dark past, but only with the help of Lizzie's kind heart can he finally let go of the past and embrace the future.
This book was fairly well written but slightly run of the mill with Lizzie's distrust of Tay and his devotion to her. The dynamic between Lizzie and the "Enemy Club" was very real to how women actually interact. The only thing that bothered me was that the depth of the characters seemed to be missing. I had a hard time empathizing with either character, but I was happy with the ending.
